March of Dimes--Walk America

Today ARCMOM participated in it's second March of Dimes Walk America. Mike, Ryan, Lydia, Emily and I all did our three mile "stroller walk" with our teammates. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time!! Attached, is a picture I took of my kids and my friend, Kara's twins. Her boys are the same age as Ryan (5 days older) and we have been friends since the boys were 10 months old. She also has a two year old little girl who was born 1 month after Lydia and Emily. Our families joke that I "caught" my twins from her. If that is the case, I sure am glad I met her! L to R: Ryan, Lydia, Emily, James, Glenn (Abby-Kara's daughter-stayed home with Dad). Thank you so much to those of you that donated! As a club, we raised almost $800.00. It was a great day!!

Princess Night at Chick-Fil-A

Thursday night Chick-Fil-A made a ton of money and had a great time doing it. With some pink and purple balloons, princess stickers and an appearance from Miss Virginia; tons of little girls dressed in their prettiest princess clothes piled into Chick-Fil-A for a fun evening. I arrived with Ryan, Lydia and Emily to meet up with a friend from work and her little girl. Mike ended up coming after work to pick up Ryan and have a guys night out. Lydia and Emily don't have princess clothes, but wore their favorite dresses (though not their prettiest dresses) to princess night. They had their picture taken with Miss Virginia and played in the playground with all of the other little princesses. There was also a table with wide ribbon set up to make sashes for the little princesses. The kids were able to draw on them. Frances (my friend's little girl who is 4) made a sash for Emily and Lydia. We had a fun time and took a balloon home for Ryan. We understand Super Hero Night is in June. Am pretty sure we will be there:)
